My son sent that to me who got it from a co-worker. Apparently it's from a 1954 Popular Mechanics Magazine

The last sentence is priceless!

I love it! Thanks, Don.

It looks like you can pull a curtain back and the Wizard of Oz will be at the controls.

It looks more like the control panel in a ship or submarine for trim control, etc. than a computer.

Actually, I took that picture in April of 2003, as you can see from this topic. Nobody batted an eye then. Image

b0b: So you work/did work for Avery-Dennison?

I've had some experiences with their presses, all good I might add.

Yes, I write software for Avery Dennison. Click here to run one of my Avery programs.

Before that, I worked for Broderbund on a popular program called The Print Shop.

bOb, that is weird that no one commented on this thing being in your tour of "Forum Central" a few years back until a couple of days later Bill finally noticed it sitting there.

Neato, b0b... I,ve just spent some months figuring out how to retrieve a device context from a printer so's I can park a test report graph from a win32 data acquisition program to a printer page & print it to a HPLJ4. Petzold is cool, to bad Kruglinsky left us early.
