direct recording question
I have been looking at the Podxt, but then I have a SoundBlaster Audigy2zs card and ProfexII, so why do I need to learn something else. The SB let's me plug the guitar/profex directly into the card for recording.
If I am wrong please set me straight.

Check out some of my :60 second samples at the below site. I use the PODxt direct via USB cable to my Dell Home computer

The big difference is the POD XT is an amp and speaker modeler (emulates other amps and speakers) where the Profex II does not, it's just a digital preamp and effects processor. The Profex II tends to be a bit noisy for direct recording where the POD XT is designed for direct recording.
Although your sound card will take the "line level" output of the Profex II you wouldn't be able to use the guitar direct to the sound card as the guitar (and standard P.A. microphones) have a very low level and not sufficient for the computer sound card.
