What is this,it keeps poping up on my Norton security alert. I've been on line 25 min,and it has popped three times already.

Backdoor/SubSeven is an older Trojan Horse that does a port scan on machines.

As long as your firewall caught it that is the important thing. Now just ignore it.

I haven't seen that trojan in a long time. Can't believe people are still using it.

Basically someone is trying to get onto your machine and send files back and forth and steal passwords.

I have Norton int security,also windows firewall,got bit by the blaster worm awhile back so I'm sorta gunshy...

Mark-I got Norton Andi-virus and it checks all my outgoing Email for viruses. It seems to work very good. But what is a Firewall? Do I have that with Norton? If not, what is recommended as the best one to get? Thanks...al Image Image
