Al Brisco - Carter- Pickups?
Hello All,
I got the "Northern Steel" CD from b0b yesterday. Lots of really nice playing and nice Steel sounds throughout the entire CD! I was really impressed with Al Brisco on "All My Loving" and I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what type of pickups he's using in his Carter PSG. Also, is he playing All My Loving on the E9 or C6 neck???

Best Regards,
Ray

I now own the guitar that Al used on the "All My Lovin" recording.
It now has XR-16s but those weren't yet released when the recording was made.
I did an exact transcription of that song. Al sells it at www.steelguitarcanada.com . It was way cool to transcribe the song, listening to the CD, and be playing the same instrument as on the recording. Of course Al offered a lot of advice on the transcription.
I'll shake his tree and get a response here.
[This message was edited by Joey Ace on 23 July 2004 at 03:40 PM.]
