Neo-Bluegrass Pedal Steel Instrumental
Hi
While working on my eagerly-awaited (by my Mum) 'Protest' album, I spun-off a nice little instrumental from one of the backing tracks. Some nice old-time country steel pickin' for those into that kind of thing.

Enjoy!
And don't forget to protest (about anything).

It's good, man. Thanks for leaving it up!
I'm surprised more bluegrass bands don't have a PSG 'guest' with them. It works well. I've done it -- once -- to good reviews, but I think being a "guy that needs electricity" makes you an outcast in the 'purist' world of bluegrass. Like the dude with buttons on his shirt and a power drill at the Amish barn-raising.

Some musicians have told me before that I reminded them of Jerry in his early days...I immediately ran home and worked on my intonation till the early hours... until I found out they had posters of him on their walls and it was their way of saying nice things to a pedal steel player.James Mayer wrote:Yeah, I was hearing a Jerry vibe as well. It's actually the first thing I thought of, but from what I've seen in this forum, that could be construed as an insult or a compliment so I didn't feel like typing the details that I am now.
I mean it as a compliment.
Sounds great Gary.
