Paul Franklin Interview
Hey there!
Back in 1980 I was in Nashville doing the final touches on the "Manual of Style" book I did with Crawford/Bethel/Hughey/Myrick.
While I was there I got together with Paul Franklin and recorded an interview with him.
When I got home, I transcribed it and that was it. I never gave it to any magazine as I had inteded. My life took an unexpected turn that summer and I guess I got busy with other things and forgot about it.
While cleaning up tonight, I found it. Great stuff! A real slice of Paul's thinking from 23 years ago.
I am planning on scanning it, doing the necessary spelling checks, and will eventually put it up on my web site-- probably in about a month after I get all the steel stuff together that I want to put up.
Right now the only thing up is my copedant-- and a whole raft of stuff about homeopathic medicine-- which is a big piece of my life outside the steel guitar.
I'll let you all know when I got it done and up.
Paul speaks great truths that deserve to be heard-- even 23 years later.
Best!

What a coincidence! I interviewed Paul in 1980, too, and Guitar Player Magazine ran it. On this page.
