Gerry Dog and Kevin Ryan in San Diego

Post by Jim Palenscar »

I got a rare treat tonight. After spending the afternoon with Kevin Ryan working on the setup for our upcoming 2nd video with Jay Dee next week, I accompanied Kevin to a local club where he sat in with Gerry Walker and "The Working Cowboy" Band. It was such a blast that, at the end of the 1st set, there was not a single lick left standing in the bag as these two wonderful players sat side by side and let it all out. Really reminded me of what drew me to the instrument to begin with~ What fun!!

Great! - Jim,
I know I am waiting in BIG anticipation for the second JD calling. I wish you and JD the best with this next endeavour, and I have no doubt, it will turn out as fine as JD's 1st
video.

I really dug the down-home, parlor-type,
atmosphere in JD's 1st video.

Don't lost that.

I've not heard Kevin play in a live situation but I know he's a player. Gerry Walker (GD Walker Electronics) is a killer player. I just got off the phone with Gerry and he told me how much fun he had playing with Kevin. I wished I could have been there, it would have been a whole lot of fun listening to two pro players.

Yo Jim P. - Go easy on JD next week will ya. Image
