Which one of you folks is sellin' their steel?

Post by Jim West »

I was in Nashville for the weekend to see family. I was walking down Broadway when I saw this in a window of a club.

Carco Clavera owns this axe. Don't have a number on him, but you can probably find info on him on here if you do a search.

It looks pink in this photo, but it's actually white.

WHAT!!!

Unless my eyes are failing me that steel was pink. That's one of the reasons I took the photo in the first place. My Nikon D100 6.1 megapixel hasn't let me down yet.

That picture would make a great album cover. Kind of sums it all up.

I know Carco had Deloris Hancock's old pink steel at one point. Looks like this might be the one. If so, it's a great sounding instrument even if it may get some nervous glances due to its undeniable pinkness...

I'd bet my hat that's Carcos guitar. I never seen another one that looked like it ever.

Carco says it is an off-pink, and that he got it from Bobbe about 10 yrs. ago. I've never seen it in the daylight; under stage lighting it sure looked white.
It's still for sale, and it sounds as good as any Emmons I've ever heard.

Hey Bobbe!! Remember me? I was at your store Saturday morning with my son Ben. As soon as I left your store I said, "I'm going to downtown Nashville on Sunday morning and take me a picture of a pink steel" and there you have it. Whadda ya know! Miracles really do happen!
