Ricky and Rebels Tab site

Post by BobG »

I just tried to get on to the site and I was hit with "SITE CLOSED". If that is the case all I can say is that's a shame. What a terrific resource!!.
Anyway,i'm sure you guys have your reasons and i'd like to add a heartfelt thanks for providing the service over the years. I cant begin to tell you how much i've used it.

Bob- graham announced it as a done deal last week- with little or no warning.

I'm sure he has his reasons, and "a man's gotta do" as Tommy Collins said; but I would have wished they could keep it as an archive site, even if updating it was not happening.

What a bummer !

That was such a great site. I was hoping to find a version of sleepwalk for E 9
tuning.. Any ideas guys?

By the way this is my first post here.
I'm a newbee.

It was a goldmine to us beginners. Pick a tab, play it like the big boys(well nearly] and finally hear what the steel is suppose to sound like. Had a nice feeling hearing yourself put something together for the first time. Gonna miss it.

I believe it will come back, and sooner than
later. Have faith brothers.

None other than Mr. Lloyd Green himself has expressed his love and appreciation for this great site, directly to Graham, Ricky, and all contributors.

With this once-in-a-lifetime endorsement, where do you you think this will end up?

Please don't make me eat these words.

C'MON.....let's go........

Hey if you get hold of webstripper and then log on to http://users.interlinks.net/rebel/steel/
you get the directory of the site. Apart from the steel.html page, everything is there, and you can download it ALL to your PC with webstripper.

Be warned it is a large download and with broadband it took several minutes and amounted to about 44mb - 831 files in total.
