Dallas show

Post by Jim Cohen »

I just wanted to say 'thanks' to Louie Hallford and all the good folks who put together another fantastic TSGA show in Dallas this past weekend. I consider it a great honor to have been included in the lineup for the first time this year. The players were superb, as always, with a few great treats along the way (Curtis Potter and Johnny Bush), and it's always a great time to get to hang out with so many old friends, make new ones, and play with some of the best players anywhere in the world. Thanks again for all your kindness.

Jim, I am not sure that I told you after your show, but you did a great job !! Your selection of tunes was great and your execution of them was also. Great tone-what more could one ask for. I know that the audience shared my same view as well. Keep up the good work ! You have inspired me to "try" to start playing again.

Jim is being modest. Not only did he have a great set, it was one of the show's best. Hands down, no arguments. Dude is an absolute monster.

not only is Jim "The Master of Acceptable Tone", he's not a bad guy either. Image

I thoroughly enjoyed Jim's set. He has really gotten to be a great player in every way.

JB,having been involved with the show, I better leave the sharing of favorite acts to others, I do think it is fair however for me to share that a steel player for whom I have much respect told me Jim Cohen's part of the show was his favorite.

This was the same guy who asked a few days earlier, when he saw the player schedule "who is Jim Cohen". Now he knows
[This message was edited by louie hallford on 10 March 2003 at 07:54 PM.]
