Bakersfield Toys for Tots 1968...

Post by Stephen LeBlanc »

For fun I decided to upload this radio recording for those who would enjoy it.

I don't know how well my server will handle this if a bunch of people start downloading at the same time, so, if you have trouble just try again later.

This will probably only be up for about week.

Enjoy...there's some great performances on this show.
[This message was edited by Stephen LeBlanc on 03 December 2002 at 01:59 PM.]

I'd also like to urge you all to take a moment to drop off a new, unwrapped toy at the nearest collection center this year.

Stephen,

Boy, did you bring back some memories for me. I played those shows in the 70's and it was always the last show of the year we did during those times. I always left Bakersfield the next day to come home and spend Christmas with my mom and dad....and yes, great thought on the unwrapped toy..It means a lot to kids who don't always have the best time around Christmas..

Stephen I was there also that night. I remember the press of the crowd when they opened the doors at the auditorium and people were pushing from behind so hard they almost broke the doors off. I was almost in a panic to keep from falling down and getting trampled. I think it's called the soccer stadium mentality.
