Ricky Davis' video: thanks!!

Post by Drew Howard »

Ricky,

THANKS A HEAP for putting your video on the internet for the rest of us to enjoy - free, I might add. Man, there's so many good licks on it, I'm gonna be busy for awhile. This will bust me out of my rut, especially those slants.

thanks again,

Ricky,

Seeing AND hearing the tab played helps make much clearer exactly what is going on. One minor suggestion I'd make is to repeat the licks somewhat slower and do fewer of them. Overall, really great especially the camera angle...you can see what your doing with your feet as well as the bar and righ hand. Can't wait to see the C6 stuff. CONGRATULATIONS ON A FINE, FINE JOB.

Is it possible to save this file to a cd or on the hard drive as an alternative to going to the web site every time.

You can save it by going to FILE in the Windows media player and clicking on Save Media As. This will open a window that allows you to choose where you want to save it. I have the latest free version of the player (version 9.0) but I think it will work for any version. May take a while if you have a dial-up internet connection.

Well thanks Guys; I appreciate the kind words....and that Video has been out for a couple of years now...
We put it on the site....as the company that made those copies for me...went out of business and they had the master.....so it's Gone...Gone...Gone...
So glad your enjoying it and it's easy to get the tab if you do a search for my name in the Tablature section....and most those licks and solos are from a couple of years ago....Have fun.
I'll be doing a new Video this year and it will be Killer...with a ton of stuff...and Ok I'll do them slower..ha...and a few more times....and I promise to have some things on there not yet played on the pedal steel....yeee haaa Image

Great, Ricky!
I look forward to your new vidoe, too, even though this present one is really a little too advanced for me - but a very stimulating one to work with. I´ve already figured out some stuff that I at first glance thought would be too hard for me, so I might not be a hopeless case after all.
Thanks also for the hints on where to find tab - I didn´t think about that at first.
