Sonny Burgess

Post by clive swindell »

Went to see Sonny Burgess at the Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville last Thursday. Does anyone know who the steel player was?. I have his CD and that has Buddy Emmons, Sonny Garrish, Bruce Bouton and Gary Morse playing - I dont think it was any of them.

It was a shame that the sound mix didnt bring out the steel properly - why is it that this keeps being a problem?

My guess is not enough sound men work regularly with steel players. Therefore, they're not sure how to work with them or get them just right in the mix to make them sound the way they should.
[This message was edited by Chris Forbes on 16 December 2002 at 11:41 AM.]

..I always gave the sound men the same priority as the bouncers as the first people to get acquainted with and become friends with....both of them can save you a lot of misery! Image www.genejones.com
