Guitar One Mag. Article

In this month's magazine they had a article on the Campbell Bros. and R.Randolph.The article was brief but to the point about the steel and involvement with the Gospel. By the way, I think E should do a sound byte for the mag. also, all in favor say Ayyyyyy!!!

It's a great writeup on Sacred Steel with some very cool photos. The author of the article is Dave Rubin, who has been writing Blues instructional columns for Guitar Player and other guitar mags for many years. Dave is the perfect man to cover sacred steel. He has a deep knowledge of roots music, R&B, rock, etc.

I find it interesting that the Sacred Steel feature is not listed on the cover of the magazine. Ten other features are listed on the cover, but no mention of the 5 page Sacred Steel article within. I guess in the broad world of guitar the pedal steel is little more than a curious footnote. If anyone can "break through" with a pedal steel into the wide world of music, these Sacred Steel players can.

You couldn't be more right. I came home and looked it up on the site, and it doesn't list a thing about the article. Why is that....what's your guess, mine is they are still scared of the readership after they write "steel guitar".
