Simon & Simon

Post by Leslie Ehrlich »

I'll probably get no replies, but here goes. Back in the 1980s I used to watch a TV private eye show called 'Simon and Simon'. The melody to the theme song was played on steel, and a lot of the background music was done on steel and synth. Who played steel for the show, and is there a tab for the theme song?

I played steel on almost every episode, but the melody on the theme song was a regular 6 string slide guitar played by Dean Parks. He re-tuned his G string up to G# for that piece.

I was a mess back then (still) and not sure if I got paid at all. Who cares anyway? Life is art, and I was just grateful for a chance to get out of the house.

Theresa,
Why don't you ever say those nice things to me. ImageIncidentally, the fragrance in question is Acqua Di GIO and I now have a long winter's supply. Merry Christmas to you and Gregg.<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Buddy Emmons on 10 December 2002 at 11:43 AM.]</p></FONT>

I think I remember an LA studio guy named Tim May being credited with the Simon & Simon intro, but that's been a looooooong time ago...
