Lloyd Green w/Alan Jackson
CMT aired the Alan Jackson Christmas special last night, and Lloyd Green is on the show playing his LDG. I would imagine this will be rerun, so there may be another chance to see it. It was great to see and hear Lloyd, especially with AJ. (Not as much of Lloyd as I would like to have heard. However, I couldn't get enough of Lloyd if he was playing in my living room.)
Lloyd is also playing on AJ's new CD, "Let it be Christmas." The CMT special is essentially a showcase of the new album.

Only one close-up of Lloyd's guitar, but the whole thing was well-produced (even if it was a bit saccharine-laden in those 'family Christmas 'inserts'!)
The music was very well arranged and performed - especially by Brent Mason, didn't you think? I like AJ a lot, but I didn't think his voice quite bore scrutiny on some of the 'held' notes. Still, he seems an aimiable chap, and some of those Christmas songs are beautiful - well worth watching, I thought....
(PS: There goes any chance I might have had of doing his 'road gig' sometime in the future!)
