Tall Tall Trees: steeler?
Can you tell me who played the hot break on GJ's original version of this tune?

Well,
Someone took my copy many years ago, but I seem to remember a Roger Miller album (maybe "A Trip In the Country"), that had that song on it and I'm sure it was Buddy playing steel on all the cuts.
Man, I'd give both of my useless n#t$ to have that back or at least a copy of it.

Now I dont know this as fact, but I believe that the very original cut of Tall, Tall Trees was on Starday about '55 or '56, this was the one that the descending guitar run from V-I at the beginning. This would make it Buddy or Jimmy. Now, Lloyd did cut with him a little later and it probably was recut on Mercury.

Thanks, Eddie... I thought I was losing it.
This is the cut I was referring to that I'm sure had Jimmy Day on it. But if it's the Mercury cut, it could be Lloyd.
