...not sure; but it sure sounds like Buddy Emmons' Bigsby to me.

Well,
Someone took my copy many years ago, but I seem to remember a Roger Miller album (maybe "A Trip In the Country"), that had that song on it and I'm sure it was Buddy playing steel on all the cuts.
Man, I'd give both of my useless n#t$ to have that back or at least a copy of it.

Unless I have confused it with some other song, Lloyd Green did the Warner Mack version.

Bobby, I have no use for a pair of useless N#T$, but I have the album. I'll bring you a copy next time I come over. Yody.

On the original cut by George Jones of Tall Tall Trees on Mercury Records was the one and only Lloyd Green. I asked the same question many years ago and Lloyd was given credit for that

Now I dont know this as fact, but I believe that the very original cut of Tall, Tall Trees was on Starday about '55 or '56, this was the one that the descending guitar run from V-I at the beginning. This would make it Buddy or Jimmy. Now, Lloyd did cut with him a little later and it probably was recut on Mercury.

Thanks, Eddie... I thought I was losing it. Image This is the cut I was referring to that I'm sure had Jimmy Day on it. But if it's the Mercury cut, it could be Lloyd.
