Terry Bethel's "IF WE COULD"

Post by Billy Easton »

Bought this CD from the Forum, and I want to tell you that if you have not heard this one, you are missing out. You all know how much of a C6th bug I am, and there are some great C6th work on "Im Always Chasing Rainbows", but Terry just knocks me out with the chords on "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". It is great, just great. Not to exclude the pretty stuff on the E9th....his harmonies on "If", and "We Could" are so pretty it makes you want to burn your steel. Terry if you happen to read this, I really love your album. Highly recommend this to all. And the Forum carries it.

Billy, a big Amen to that on Terry's great CD. Larry Petree introduced it to me a few weeks ago and it goes beyond WOW. Those Chalker tapes I sent him a few years back must have helped a bit plus his close friendship with Curly. His E9 tunes were stunning also, great player, to the max.

I just got this one from the forum as well, and have to agree with these posts. BTW, a GREAT CD for you guys who like traditional stylings. Sweet!

You don't hear tone like that on CD's today.
It really knocked me out as well. I heard TB play in St Louis several years ago and could not believe how great he was. When I heard him with Mel Tillis of course he only got to do a little.
