Well, it never ceases to amaze me how a show can differ from week to week. One week we watch and listen (with utter amazement) how Country Music can be "basterdized" and then on the next show we see and listen to good "County" how it should and can be done.
The production and direction is up and down like a call girls' shorts.
Forget the "apprentice sound person" (who usually runs things) tripping over the wires and blowing things all to Hell and the sharp and flat notes sumg by the "Ole Guard"; ----Saturdays' show was a "Keeper".
Here I am almost three hours later and I'm still trying to scape the goose pimples off my arms after hearing John Huey with the feeling and dexterity that can only come with being a "Pro". (If he and Emmons got together, I'd probably think I'd died and gone to the "Big Night Club" in the sky.)

If the show ended there it would have been a classic keeper. Porter and the willie Nelson open mike jam session A.T. (after Tootsies)that followed well as self described by W.N. "A good train wreck". If there is such a thing.

Enjoyed John Hughey and the steel player behind Porter and Willie, great job. The reunion of Hot Band was great too.
