30,000+ Sho-Buddys!

Post by Greg Simmons »

Hey folks;

I just noticed that the "odometer" rolled over 30,000 visits to the(Un)Official Sho-Bud website.

We're four years old in February and it's been fun and a real privilege to maintain this site.

Hopefully we are doing justice to the memory of a fine man - Shot Jackson Image

A big thanks again to the big "E" for a great start and to Duane Becker for the fine info and to all of you worldwide who have visited and hopefully found info and enjoyment Image

Why is this site NEVER updated. I have two Sho-Buds in mint condition that I would like to put on the gallery.

Kevin;

As mentioned in my email to you, my apologies that the frequency of updates to the site does not meet your satisfaction.

I'll extend this apology to others as well, but please keep in mind that I am not in the employ of Gretsch or Sho-Bud and that this is done as a labor of love.

I do receive from time to time emailed pics from people that unfortunately are of varying quality, so in some cases the pics are unusable.

The statement that the site is never updated is incorrect; the site was last updated - pretty major adition - in June 2002 with the addition of Duane Becker's excellent info.

Recent photos of suitable quality have also been added Image

It may indeed be time for me to pass this site along to someone who can take it to the next level. If anyone is interested, please email me and I can arrange to send the html and graphic files via email, FTP or on a CD - line-up forms on the left Image

I took another link in another post and went to the Fender site. I was a bit disheartened by the listed membership: 27 thousand plus.

Well this 30,000 has refloated my sails and I feel all better again. At least I have a better grasp on perspectives now.....

Thanks, Paul Image Image Image

Keep it up Greg! I've got a couple of good quality pics of Shot at the 1980 ISGC...In a white jumpsuit playing his white ShoBro. I'd be glad to forward one along.
[This message was edited by Kenny Davis on 03 November 2002 at 09:27 PM.]
