STEELDAYS 2002 (Johan Jansen great organisation),,,,
Many Steelguitar players, from holland,Denmark and the U.S.A.,,,,TECHNCALLY, some of them (JOE WRIGHT,usa) can play anything! well thats GREAT for those who love this.Though NOT enough for me.
Sorry i only hear STEELGUITAR PLAYERS and NO MUSICIANS,,,,NO MESSAGE,,,playing steel is one thing making art is something else.
We all know who the REAL ARTIST,THE MUSICIAN is on the PEDALSTEEL!?,,But maybe i'am asking too much,
,,NO one can reach the BIG E.
BTW ,,,,,,i realise how IMMORTAL the late JIMMY DAY IS.....

If you didn't hear music during European Steeldays 2002, you just don't know what
music is. If you want art, go to a museum.

I also visited the Steeldays. Had a great time there. Walked around a lot to see all the artists on both stages. Johan Jansen and crew done a great job I think. And I have heard plenty of music. Jazz, blues, country, and even some hawaiian. Hope there will be a Steeldays 2003 or 2004.
