When I clicked over to CMT, Marty Stewart came on and what a great chance to see our old friend "Gary Hogue". Not only a great player, but a great guy and fellow musician. God rest him, and bless his family.

I saw the same show I think, Was Gary playing a blue Mullins? I thought he (?)was a great showman as well as a steel player. I am new at keeping up with steel players so forgive me if I am out of line on this. What happened to Gary Hogue?

Also is this the same player that played with Emmy L Harris the same night? I saw the name on the credits at the end of the show. I think.

Gary Hogue unfortunately passed away a few years ago, a Texas super picker and was a total gentlemen. For a picker of his status he was very under-rated, except for those of us who knew him and had the pleasure of his friendship.
