Bob Kagy, "A Franklin Piano"!!, you might have started something, If Paul Sr. see's this, he might try and build one. Ray Montee can name his guitar and strings, pedals and so on, but, better write the wife's name and date of birth, and the anniversary pretty quick, or you won't make the next 15 minutes. My wife won't carry my amp either, she found an easy way, she makes me carry my own. I slipped up and told my wife we have anniversaries, she's adding up the last 33 years for one big deal. See ya guys later!!

Met my wife 39 yrs ago. When we met she saw me playing bass in a rock-n-roll band. I ask her out and she was real surprised when she found out I played steel in a country band on week-ends. She wasn't into Country music much. We've been married 36 yrs now and she's so hooked on the country and western swing I play it's pathetic. She's a true supporter of my habit.

I can't begin to guess how many Divorces have been caused from the steel guitar and the side effects but I know one that started because of the steel guitar.

My mom taught steel guitar in the 1940's (Jimmy Crawford was a student when he was 8 yrs old). She was 21 and my dad was 18 and one of her students. They had so much in common and the rest is history. She gave up the guitar and he continued playing as a week-end job until he passed away in 1981. I guess you could say I come by my steel playing naturally.
