Sneaky Pete on Burrito Deluxe

Post by tom anderson »

I just got a new CD featuring my favorite stylist on the pedal steel - Sneaky Pete. It is on Lamon records, called Burrito Deluxe and features new arrangements of Byrds, Parsons, & Burrito favorites, with Sneaky featured throughout. now I miss Gram's singing & writing (though there is a great recording here of Gram talking about country music), but I find myself listening to this over & over. I got my copy from Village records, a great internet CD store that specialises in alternative & roots country. If you have missed Sneaky's playing over the years, this CD is worth getting.

So it's a Sneaky Pete solo project?

This isn't a solo steel effort from Sneaky. He backs up Tommy Spurlock, Carlton Moody & Willie Watson, and for all I know this may be a new band for him. He did have a solo effort earlier this year made up of older recordings called "Meet Sneaky Pete" on NorCal records.

Get his "Legend and Legacy" CD, it's well worth it!
[This message was edited by Jim West on 18 October 2002 at 08:51 PM.]
