Skaggs/Austin City Limits
I caught the end of Austin City Limits on CMT
tonight and was wondering who was playing steel with Ricky Scaggs. I think it may have been around the early 1980's. Great playing
steeler with a black Emmons. Anyone see this show?

My wife taped it so my son could see it.And I hate to say it but I did not recognize the steel player on Marty Stuart's segment before Ricky's part.Often you hear a name but never see the face.
Upon watching the credits I found out it was Gary Hogue.
All I can say is great playing and a major loss to us who love good steel playing.

Unfortunately, Bruce was WAY back in the mix. But that mandolin was sure pokin' holes in my eardrums!
