Scott Sanders
A picker I really enjoy is Scott Sanders.
Where is he from? What groups has he worked with? When did he move to N'ville? Have any of you pickers done shows with him. Thanks in advance for any information about or experiences with this fine musician.

Hey Butch, If we are talking about the same Scott, I first saw hin playing for a gospel group, The Hinsons. He was from Lake City, Florida. The last I heard of him, he was doing some session work and I also saw him on a tv program. I talked to him in Ardmore, OK. after a concert. His steel idol is Sonny Garrish. He is a little guy in stature but a very good steel player. He had really improved since the first time I heard him.

Scotty is from Florida. He began playing with the Original Hinsons around 1980. He has also played for Steve Wariner and Gene Watson. He continues to play on a large percentage of southern gospel recordings, and WHAT A PLAYER! Awesome on dobro, too!
He has played on albums for Alabama,
Tracy Byrd, Jeff Carson, Jennifer Day,
Alan Jackson, John Michael Montgomery,
The Statler Brothers, Doug Stone and George Jones.
In addition to being greatly influenced by Sonny Garrish, Scotty collect Lloyd Green recordings.
I was priviledged to share a stage with him several times during the Hinson days.

Scott is a great player. I put him up there with Tommy White and Paul Franklin and a host of other great players. I to know Scott from his Hinson days. He played some of the best steel I have ever heard on the New Hinson records. I don't know why we don't see him at the shows. Maybe he is to busy makeing records and money to come. I want hold the fact he plays an Emmons againist him. Zumday he will know he is Zumbody and get a better guitar. Zumbody should show him the way.
