Since my fingers won't always do what I tell them I have had to stop playing but not a human on this planet loves the steel guitar more than I do. I started playing when I was 13 and am now 69. A long time and wish I still played. Thanks for your kind comments to and old has been that never was.

Chuck, Jackson is about a 3 hour drive from Nashville. I come through Jackson about every 6 or so weeks on my way to Texas and other places West. I've played at the American Legion several times, the last couple of N>Years eves. Got caught in a snow year before last, and my ife got us back home safely. There were times that it was snowing so hard that we could not see but she just keep right on trucking. Great driver I don't go anywhere with her.

Chuck I appreciate the offer to come see you in Jackson. We go there a lot to the Casey Jones place. Let me know where your picking place is and when you play and might just drop by and catch you.

Al. I didn't stop olaying voluntarily, someone stole my steel between Phoenix and Nashville a few months ago. It was a Marlen single ten on a double frame that Leonard made for me in 1974. I sure miss it but since I am retired I just can't afford to buy another one right now.

Gere......... Welcome aboard!
There are more than 3,322 great, truly caring, knowledgeable and wonderful people on this Forum who are more than willing to come to your side whether for expert advise and guidence or simply moral support. I've learned more from contacts made on this world-wide Forum in just a few years than I had gained in 50 years of active playing. I'm honored to have gained a couple of truly fine friends.......and all-in-all, the Forum is the first and last thing I do each and every day.
PLEASE......don't allow the negative crappolla that appears from time to time, to discourage you in any way. They are a mere handful of antagonizers that are likely dysfunctionals in most other aspects of their anti-social lives.
YOUR FORUM experiences will greatly enhance many aspects of your musical life.
TRUST ME!

Hey guys thank you so much. I appreciate the warm welcome I have received and I will be continually checking to see if any of my old buddies ever come in. Mike Douchette, Ron Hogan are 2 I have seen comments from. John Hughey and Lloyd Green wont remember me from several years ago. I was a DJ at a small country station in Gallatin TN and have picked in that area for many years. I would love to hear from anyone. Thanks again for the support and welcome

If you could post some pictures of your guitar and a good description the forum might help you recover it.It should be automatic life for stealing a guitar.
On second thought maybe just cut off both hands.

Willis I have a picture of it but don't know how to get it on this site. It was the regular Lloyd Green type padded inside neck...3 and 3. Padding was a light tan. I guess it was standard padding that Leonard used. The finish was a natural light color. It is exactly like the single/double ten thats on the Marlen web site. Hope it turns up somewhere. And Bob I probably am a little crazy. It caught up with me. Thanks guys.
