Buddy,Hal and Tone

Post by Don Olson »

I thought Buddy and Hal sounded great,They didn't compete with each other, they just admired each others playing.I would like to have seen them trade Guitars to see if their tone went with them or stayed with the Guitar. They both had great tone but different.

That was one of my favorite sets all weekend. I love how Buddy would really get Hal on something and Hal would turn around and really get him. And Hal's classic line after Take Me As I Am, "You owe me 2 dollars and 50 cents BMI for that one Buddy." It was great.
