I've got a comment or two about the cuts that Gene has on his website. Jody was right on with his other thread. These are some of the best songs that I've heard in quite some time. You owe it to yourself to give them a listen. This guy's history in music puts most of us to shame. I was especially Knocked for a loop with Gene's version of "Nightlife". You automatically say to yourself, Well, here's another Emmons cover for sure. But I must say, I didn't hear the first so-called "EMMONS" lick in the whole song. What Gene has done with it, is to take the advice of so many that I've heard, "Don't copy someone else, Do it your way". Now I mean no dis-respect to the "BIG E" whatsoever but it is refreshing to hear this song done in other than the usual style. Gene has taken this classic to another level. He has truly made this version HIS OWN. I can't praise it highly enough. "Midnight in Old Amarillo " is another of my favorites Good, clean sound that anybody would be proud of. Misty, Moonglow, and Don't Get Around Much Anymore are also favorites of mine.
You owe it to yourself to go to

That's my 2 pennies worth and I just had to say it !!

(edited cause I don't have a Seymore spell-checker)
