George Jones at Georgia State Fair

Just booked tickets to see George Jones concert in October. Does anyone know if he usually has a steel player with him and if so who it is?.

Also appearing that week is Vince Gill, I presume that Jay Dee will be with him?

Yes, George does have a regular steel player, Tom Killen. He's been with him for at least 15 years. Real good player. Jason

If there was no steel guitar player....I don't think George would get on stage and sing. Even George would not be George without a steel.

And you're in for a good show. A real country music show.

Is this the Georgia State Fair as in Macon Georgia(USA) in October? If so, I didn't see George Jones on the bill just Jerry Reed(which wouldn't be bad).

It is the Georgia National Fair being held in Perry, Georgia on 5 to 12 October. Take a look at www.gnfa.com I found out about it from the Vince Gill web site.
