Johnny & Joan Cox "ANGEL BAND" - Wow! Inspirational

Post by Abe Stoklasa »

Hey Everyone.

In case you haven't heard, Johnny and Joan Cox recently released a gospel CD called Angel Band. Let me be the first to say that it is truly beautiful. I cannot think of a better way to compliment God and Jesus than through the sweet sweet musical sounds of Pedal Steel Guitar. Johnny and Joan truly accomplished greatness.

Along with Nashville's finest, Johnny and Joan certainly got "THE ULTIMATE MESSAGE" across. Also, Johnny makes his singing debut! What a treat!

Here is the cover so you will be able to recognize it:

I'm just copying this right off the back of the CD:

I beleive they are $15 each, but S&H might make it more. But, it's worth every penny.

Everyone, I have well over 30 Steel Guitar CD's, and this one is DEFINITELY in my TOP 5.

Great Job Johnny and Joan!

And, Yes that is a 3-neck guitar! Pretty amazing, huh?

I purchased this at the Station Inn(http://www.stationinn.com) in Nashville. Johnny and the Time Jumpers (http://www.thetimejumpers.com)
are the best Western Swing band in town, not to mention the best period. They recently recieved the highest award that a swing band can recieve (Or so I Beleive). They play there every Monday Night at 9, and it's only $7! What a steal! You never know who you'll run into there. I sat right next to Jack Green. How cool is that?!

Anway, I can't help but admit that there isn't a steel player in the world that is better at Johnny Cox at Western Swing, and I'll back that up anyday. He truly is by far the best. (Not trying to start a discussion) Not to mention, of course, his beautiful E9th music with Connie Smith.

I don't mean to go on, but these two greats go unawarded for their many accomplishments.
[This message was edited by abraham on 03 August 2002 at 05:16 PM.]

Having received my copy two weeks ago, I was blown away at these two fine musicians in harmony playing from the heart and Johnny's vocal was a wonderful surprise. Their display came from deep down and pray they sell a million of them. It sure makes for nice atmosphere in a home with this album playing.
