Who is the steel player?

Post by Reggie Duncan »

The Blackwood Brothers Quartet recorded "Because He Lives" 30+ years ago. Here is the steel intro:

Wonder who it is? I don't know.
[This message was edited by Reggie Duncan on 27 July 2002 at 10:00 PM.]

[This message was edited by Reggie Duncan on 27 July 2002 at 10:04 PM.]

Nice stuff! Reminds me of Emmons, but the tone's not right. Maybe a young Paul?
[This message was edited by Donny Hinson on 28 July 2002 at 05:48 AM.]

I'll stick my neck out here mainly because years ago I was very impressed with Jeff Newman's Gospel course. The song was included in that work but like Donny said; The tone is not exactly what I'd expect from JN. Image Image Image Image

I can't retrieve the song. Image When I click the link it tries to download the file BBmp3, but of course there is no file association for it. How are you guys opening it? Image

Download it, then rename it to BB.mp3 (insert the dot). The file's ok, not the name. Or manually choose your mp3 player as the program to open it. At least these options are what worked for me.
