Dusenberg Guitars ?

Post by CrowBear Schmitt »

Forgive me if i'm off topic here, or just postin' where i should'nt but...

at a rehearsal the other day, this fellow was playin a Duesenberg Guitar.(not a Steel)
it sounded pretty good + and looked decent.
Now i know Dusenberg made some class cars back in the 1930s but i never heard of guitars by that name.
Anybody here knows anything 'bout 'em ?
Steel thankin' y'all... Image

The amazing cars, atleast, were Deusenbergs. I just recently came to understand that the term a real "doozie" ( as I'd always heard it) actually was in reference to a Deusenberg, in terms of being huge , impressive, noteworthy ,whatever. Ain't the language great?!

Well, actually, both the guitar and the car are spelled "Duesenberg".
Link to the car: http://www.duesenbergmotors.com
Link to the guitar: http://www.duesenberg.de The guitars and basses are made in Hannover, Germany.

Hope to have helped. Rainer

Rainer- thanks for the correction. I had checked the spelling on google, but it turns out the first couple spellings were wrong!? At any rate, incredible cars!!!!!
[This message was edited by Steve Frost on 19 June 2002 at 02:44 PM.]

Small company...they're made in Germany, and are copied off of the early Gibsons. They only make a few styles, and haven't really done much in the U.S. market yet.
