Joe Goldmark/The Twangbangers
Just got the Twangbangers CD (26 Days on the Road) WOW !! Joe Goldmark plays some real great stuff on here, not to mention
Bill Kirchen & Redd Volkaert's hot guitar playing. Some of the songs actually have that Commander Cody & The Lost Planet Airmen style.....especially "Truck Drivin' Man". Check it out if you haven't allready.

Doug,
I found the Hightone records site at www.hightone.com. Then you can click
on Joe Goldmark, Bill Kirchen or Redd Volkaert.
Bob
ps....no, I do not work for Hightone Records, but I have always been a fan of Bill Kirchen.

I haven't heard this CD, but I have all of Joe's others, both those under his name and the ones he did with Jim Compolongo and the 10 gallon cats. My personal favorite is "All Over Thge Rood" but they're all great.
Joe is a wonderful player, and a true stylist who dopes not sound like anybody else. We need more players like him.
[This message was edited by Mike Perlowin on 20 May 2002 at 07:49 AM.]

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the support. Most of this album is live, so there are some clunkers and things I wouldn't mind re-doing, however, on the whole I think it turned out OK. On my own albums I spend a lot of time getting things the way i want them, but this was off the cuff pretty much. Glad you enjoyed the live show also. It was a real treat to be able to play for a month with Redd Volkaert and Bill Kirchen. I'm still playing in Dallas Wayne's band (also in the Twangbangers). Everyone should pick up "Big Thinking", Dallas' first album (with Tom Brumley). It's got lots of great songs, many co-written with Robbie Fulks.

Hi Pete,
Good to hear from you, it's been awhile. Bill Kirchen mentioned that he saw you at a gig last year. Anyone interested in the Dallas Wayne schedule go to www.dallaswayne.com Sorry I'm not keeping up with my posts... Joe
