Mike Perlowin injured

Post by Michael Johnstone »

I got a call today from Doug Derringer who plays bass in Mike's band "The Fickle Pigs" and he told me that Mike was out riding his bicycle yesterday, cut thru a construction site and inadvertantly rode face-first into a steel beam.According to Doug,Mike's injuries included a broken nose among other things and he had to undergo some sort of facial surgery today.I don't know any more than that at present. -MJ-

Mike, sorry to hear of this misfortune. Hope they're keeping the pain to a minimum.
But it could have been worse.
Thank God it was a beam and not a piano wire.

Mike, didn't your mother tell you it's dangerous to take short cuts through construction sites? Best wishes for a quick recovery. And don't run with scissors.

Mikey,

Of all the people that could warn you, with authority, about the potential hazards of riding a bike, I should be at the top of the list. I was in a near-death accident (the doctors gave me 30% chance to survive) in 1986 and came out of it OK. Alright, maybe not completely OK but I lived.

The best to you in your recovery.

TommyD

P.S. - Donna and I really enjoyed West Side CD. Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us.

Perlowin, trying to french kiss a steel beam can be hazardous to one's well being. Next time just try a casual handshake or keep your head up your a$$ Image!!! I hope you are feeling better and on the mend.

......by the way, I thought you had 20/20 vision since your lasik surgery. Image

I ditto Herb Steiner in saying "don't do that". Get well soon.
I do find it ironic that it was a "Steel" beam, also, I think the welder that put the beam there was named Leon.

Mike,if he was riding at night, you know those little generator head lights don't put out enough lumens to see past the front wheel. Image
