I'm New Too

Post by Barbara Hennerman »

Hi! I'm also new. I've been playing some 50 years now, so no young thing. I do love the steel, I have a Mullen and love it. I have been reading the Forum for a while and really enjoy it. Most of my questions have been answered and that's a wonderful thing. Anyway .. Hi to everyone! Glad you let me in. Thanks.

Hi Barbara,
Welcom to the Forum from a fellow Colorado member.
I think the rest of our Colorado folks must be in Dallas.
Hope to see you at the Dick Meis Steel Jam in June (I think that is when he is planning it this year).

Hi Barb-Glad to see your name on here. Barb and I go back almost ALL of those 50 years she mentioned...we were both at the same music studio in Denver in 1949-50. Our mutual teacher, Harry Monson, is still alive and a huge steel guitar fan in Seattle. Barb has worked with some of the greats, but I'll hafta let her tell you about that....shes quite a picker and a GREAT person.
Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I really appreciate it. It's always nice to belong. Does anyone know if Ronnie Miller is on the road with Charlie Pride, or if he's around? Ronnie and I go back a ways also.

Barbara...

Ronnie comes to Denver fairly regularly. Get in touch with him by Email. He was inducted into the Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame a year or so ago. He has come out for Dick Meis's Steel Jams. Dick is planning another in June, I believe, and Ronnie might be there for that one.

Welcome to the forum.

Hi Barbara, from yet another Colo. steel player. I'm sort of a newbie to the whole thing, but love it.

Wonder if you know my brother Jeff Kennison. Drummer in Denver. He's been in the scene for years there. Or cousin Warren Kennison - banjo.

anyway - cheers
