And I didnt think I needed any more. 'The Brooklyn Cowboys' - Time on Planet Earth is amazingly good but the best is a collection by Don Gibson - well worth a listen for some unusual arrangements of traditional songs.

I enjoyed meeting you there, Clive. One of the great things about steel shows is that they bring people together from all over the world.

I brought home a bunch of CDs too, but I haven't had time to listen to them yet. Image

I bought 6 for me and 1 for a friend.
My favorete is the Leon Raush tribute to
Cindy Walker. Alan Crider uses this album before Cornell Hurd's Thursday gigs at Joveta's and I knew it was on Southland so I was glad Steve came in support of Jake Hooker.

I picked up a couple VERY OLD Joaquin Murphy tapes for only $8.00.......mostly stuff with Spade Cooley. GREAT TUNES and technique!!
Also grabbed a couple of fine jackets and T-shirts. Tried to get Jeff Newman to sell me his orange "POWER TIE".....but he declined! Finally got to meet our own b0b, Janice and a host of other great people from the Forum.
Had the sound system been operated better, the show would have been a perfect "10" in my opinion. Texans are great hosts!
