Hi,
Happened to listen to this song the other day and was blown away to hear a steel near the end of the song. There are no credits on CD Now or AMG for it.
In doing some web searches looking for an answer, I hit an interview with Tommy James that says he did all the instruments except drums. I'm sorry but the steel is too good for anyone but a serious player.
Does anyone know anything about this? Was Tommy James a serious steel player?

The steel playing on Crimson and Clover was done by my good friend Eddie Gray (Zgorecki). He was The Shondells' guitar player and just dabbled in the PSG. BTW, I believe he played an MSA. </SMALL><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
