another kind of steelcase

After a lesson in destroying steelcases completely by the Spanish airways, I tried to design another model, with less surfase to put heavy loads on, no outside stands handles or locks, and room enough inside.
I came up with this: It has two compartments ??

in it, one for the cabinet, and one for legs,pedals, rods, pedalboard, my hilton

and now my pod also (not in the pic)The "leg compartment" is on top of the cabinet. You can close the locks with a key too, so noone can open it without permission (and key).Check it out, till now it does it job!

I like the idea of the top compartment for the rods and pedal bar. It is a good looking case with some good thoughts and design going into it.

Johan,

Tell me about how you use the Pod.

I use the Pod as a practice amp w/headphones and it sounds great, and I also have the latest chip upgrade 2.2.

I also use the Pod as a pre-amp to my Peavy classic 50 4-10. I by pass the peavey pre-amp by going directly to the power amp stage through the effect loop return.

I use the manual setting Black Face, have set the speakers to the 2-12" setting, and use the delay with a little reverb. Bass is full up, Mid is about 1/2, and treble is about 10:00.
I use the AMP output setting.

9 mm for the sides (where the locks, handles are, and 4 1/2 mm for bottom and top and inside plate.

The 2 compartment design is exactly the same as the "Wheel-eze" case that came with my Sierra S-12. The body of the guitar go's in the "bottom" of the case and the pedal rack and leg bag go in the "lid" section.

the 2 compartment design was used by Sho=Bud in the 60's for the "Crossover" model. Unfortunately, those cases were made of a very thin material & didnt hold up too well if subjected to much baggage handling or moisture.

The weight:
With my derbysteel, D10 8&8, hilton volumepedal, Pod line 6, powersupply some cables , bar and picks it's 36.5 kg.
