1)Gregg Galbraith and Buddy Emmons.
2)Brent Mason and Paul Frankling
and in Europe we have
3) Maurits hitijahubessy on guitar and
Koos Biel on steelguitar.

Now, you can't take anything away from ole Speedy West and that fantabulous Jimmy Bryant. What a pair they made!!!
For slower and sweeter twin guitars, Jerry Byrd and Zeke Turner or Chet Atkins made an awesome contribution to the "sound" of country music. They did alot of that 3-part stuff which many of the others never did.

Howzabout Tommy "Butterball" Paige with any of the shifting list of steel players in the Troubadors. James Burton and Ralph Mooney made that great "Corn Pickin' and Slick Slidin'" record . . . the different Wills teams were mentioned - but the era that found Junior Barnard on guitar and Herb Remington on steel was a pretty good time.
Biller and Wakefield! There's another great record. And, yes, Speedy and Jimmy.

At the risk of stating the obvious, Emmons and practically ANY of the great guitarists he's worked with would be a good choice.

I'm partial to the couple or three albums Buddy did with Danny Gatton and the Superpickers material with Phil Baugh. He's obviously recorded some killer stuff with everyone from Lenny Breau to Bucky Barrett, Leon Rhodes, Grady Martin, etc., -- and our own friend Gregg -- but the 'Redneck Jazz' and 'Nashville Superpickers' dates were highlights for me.

Tom Morrell and Leon Chambers. I've never heard anyone "twin" as good as these two, although I've heard Speedy and Jimmy Bryant were pretty good at it.

I remember going out to the HOF lounge years back and Lenny Breau and Chalker were holding down the fort with a Bass player named Emmons some nights.O for those days again er nights.

My first inspiration to want to play parts with a steel player was hearing Charleton and Rhodes. More recently, I was amazed by Morrell and Chambers. This year at Scotty's, the best twin stuff I heard was by Steve Paticco(sp?) and Al Briscoe.
