Building a music PC?

Post by David Mason »

I have an extra case, monitor, keyboard etc. and more time than money - how feasible is it to assemble your own Windows-based PC solely for music recording? It doesn't have to be "state-of-the-art", just cheap. (It doesn't have to work right away; as long as it doesn't explode or drive me insane....)

Is there a book, website etc.? I'm sort of computer-medium, but a quick learner, except when I'm not.

David;
You will want to look into pricing some dedicated recording sound cards. Musicians Friend is a good place to look, as is Music123<IMG border=0 width=1 height=1 alt="" src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?i ... =3&subid=0" >.
