Does it require a scripting language to be installed, such as Macromedia Flash, or Shockwave? Have you tried right-clicking on the blank video area to see if it contains a prompt to download a special player? Is that website in your IE Restricted Sites Zone?

I have macromedia flash and shockwave both installed and it's not in the restricted zone list. I just reformatted my hard drive but it didn't work before that either.

It may be a proprietary AOL media player that only works if you have the appropriate AOL software installed, which will happen to my computer when the sky falls, or on The 12th of Never, whichever comes first.

I get the same thing when I try FoxNews or CNN. I've wondered about that.

Anytime you click on a link to some media file and it won't play you can assume that you are missing the required software to decode that file. In the case of video/audio-video players this happens all the time. Many portals like Yahoo, MSN and AOL have proprietary player software that you must install before you can play that content.
