Min-maj7 chords in BIAB?
Anyone know how to enter a min-maj7 chord in Band-in-a-box? I'm really getting frustrated with this one ... just trying to type in the minor cliche ... Am/Aminmaj7/Am7/D6. Thanks.

There is probably a better way and hopefully someone will tell us, but you could try "Abaug" to see how it sounds. You would have the maj 7th and the flatted 3rd of an "A" chord. If you want the bass to play an A note with this chord, enter "Abaug/A".
I noticed that you used a slash between the chords. The slash is used in biab to designate the "bass" note used with that chord. If you want to enter a different chord for adjacent beats, use a comma between chords.

I use the "chord builder" for these rare types of chords. It is on the icon bar, looks like a hammer and notes on staff lines. You will find in 'extension' there is a listing for "mMaj7". If you have the root to the chord you want set and the "cell" where you want this chord to go, when you click on the extension it will go in. It will also go in when changing the root note.
Hope this helps. Jim

Andy, when I type Ammaj7, it will play the chord, but the "A"note and the "Ab" are played 1/2 tone apart, rather than playing the "A" note an octave lower. It sounds like a terrible "clash" to me.
