Small Window

I recently did the brain wipe on my PC.
Got most things back to normal except, when I click on a link, it opens in a small window and I have to click on the little icon in the upper right hand corner to enlarge it. I did not have to do this before. Can someone tell me how to set this up so it opens in the larger window automaticly? thanks.. oh yeah, I am running windows XP.

Drag the small window sides to make it full screen (don't maximize via the button). Then close the window. XP will remember the state of the window

Its the simple things like that, That make me feel even more like an idiot than normal!
