Outlook Express Emptied
My wife logged on yesterday to Outlook Express, and found that all messges, in box, deleted, etc. were gone. There was some sort of box that she thinks said something about space, but she did not exactly remember. What might have happened? We use Road Runner.

My daughter also experienced this just 2 days ago. She lost all of the inbox and all of the other emails she hadn't deleted yet. Even those emails in her saved folders have disappeared. I suspect something other than a "storage" problem. She also uses outlook express.

Leon and Don;
Are you boys using McAfee Anti-Virus? If so, it's email scanner may be causing this to occur. I will post more info as I find it.
Any anti-virus program that intercepts email and scans it could be at fault.
Another poster says that uninstalling AOL Safety and Security Center cured the problem of disappearing email in Outlook Express. Are you guys AOLers?
A corrupted Inbox.dbx can cause this as well.

A week or so ago, we took McAfee off, and installed Trend Micro. It took two runs of the uninstall prompted by Trend Micor as part of the install process to take McAfee off, and then, a few days later, her computer kept freezing up, and the McAfee icon had reappeared. I uninstalled McAfee security center with add and remove programs, and that seemed to get it. Now a few days later, this.
