BIOS Flash

Post by winston »

I have a P3 800mhz with 384 RAM running XP Pro. I just put this thing together and it is not recognizing the processor. It says it is a 533mhz but it is a 800mhz. The specs on the Abit 6LV motherboard says it will support a P3 1Gig but I cannot get past 533. I have flashed the BIOS with the newest update with no change. It's no big deal because this is a spare computer put together with spare parts. I wanted to share my problem with you to see if anybody had any suggestions. BTW the memory is 3 sticks of 128/133. thanks Winston

Just got it fixed. Seems I was setting it for a 800/133 and it should have been set for an 800/100. Sorry for the dumb question. Winston
