making a video clip from a DVD?
How hard is it to make a clip for posting from a DVD? I am not that technical.

This is not an easy task. I have done this but it ain't fun. Be aware that you will be violating copyright laws by posting video without the owner's permission.
You'll need a dvd ripper, a video editor, and an encoder to re-encode the raw video down to a decent size for web use.
DVD rippers vary in their ease of use. Most are poorly documented and therein lies the problem. You'll probably have to play around and rip the video several times before you get a good result. If high-res is not an issue, you can rip a lot faster.
Do a Google search for dvd rippers.<font size="1" color="#8e236b"><p align="center">[This message was edited by John Fabian on 19 May 2006 at 07:38 AM.]</p></FONT><font size="1" color="#8e236b"><p align="center">[This message was edited by John Fabian on 20 May 2006 at 06:13 PM.]</p></FONT>
