BIAB glitch?

Post by Steven Welborn »

The drum track (all songs/all syles)plays with a delay/echo effect. Its actually only on the snare I believe. About a tenth of a second delay wth about a second or two decay. Its very annoying and distracting. This effect materialized suddenly out of the blue. Anyone had this problem and know how to correct it? Thanks

What Version of BIAB? What operating system and what MIDI synth are you using?

Steve,
Try clicking on "GM" and than "Roland GS" and then click on "Reset Roland GS(Quick).
This will reset the vsc to the original factory default settings.
Never had the problem you describe but my guess is that it has to do with the VSC.
The other thing would be to reset BIAB's midi drivers to it's defaults by going to "Opt" and then clickng on "Return To Factory Settings." If you return BIAB to it's factory settings you will have to go back in to the options and choose your midi setup again as the factory settings use your soundcard and not the VSC.

OK...problem now solved or understood. I have to correct myself. The effect I was hearing only involved the BigBandStyle. Upon viewing the Drum Disply...it's the electonic snare doing a triplet on the second and fourth beat which had the effect of an echo. And I guees it was originally there as the factory setting but never notced it. I'll simply change the style on all songs with that style assigned.geeeeezzzz
