In the taskmanager "processes" tab, what can I shut off? There is a number 39 on the bottom processes window. 160740K memory usage.

Using XP, lots of speed and ram.

39 processes is on the "low" side. That is not a lot as many XP systems run around 50 active processes.

My Windows XP (Pro) system runs around 50 and I keep a fairly clean/vanilla system.
