JUST PURCHASED A NEW H.P. WITH WINDOWS XP..
HOW CAN I DOWN LOAD THE MUSIC FROM MY OLD COMPUTER HARD DRIVE TO MY NEW COMPUTER....
I HAVE PLENTY OF SPACE, 250 GIG HARD DR....... I GIG RAM.............
ANY HELP WILL GREATLY BE APPRECIATED.....

Jennings, take the hard drive out of the old PC, strap it for "Cable Select" and then temporarily connect it to the new PC. If the IDE bus that the hard drive is on has a connector for a second drive use that - it the new PC uses SATA for the hard drive then use one of the IDE connectors and power plug from your CD/DVD drive.
You can copy all of the user data you want, however you can't copy programs as they need to be "installed" using the program's installation program.
